Dr Boothe
Texas resident, Dr. Boothe received his first degree from Rice University and completed his residency at Texas Tech University of Ophthalmology. Dr. Boothe served as an intern at the Presbyterian Hospital and later he specialized in refractive surgery at Jules Stein Eye Institute (University of California). For the next few years, he worked as the director of two emergency Centers in Plano and San Angelo, Texas. At that time he understood that the field of ophthalmology was a nonstop evolution which is why Boothe decided to choose this area as his speciality.
In the early 1980s, he worked at the Department of Ophthalmology of the Texas Tech University Health Science Center. In 1987 William Boothe started his own clinic in Plano, Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center, and decided to offer clients the most effective methods for improving their vision. In the beginning of the 90s Dr. Boothe was the first specialist in his field who started performing LASIK laser vision correction surgery. In 1999 he was named VISX Surgeon of the Year.
